Agility
What is dog agility? Dogs and handlers must execute intricate obstacle courses which include jumps, tunnels, and all sorts of contact obstacles (including a teeter-totter!). AKC agility trials have three levels of competition: novice (beginners), open (intermediate), and excellent (advanced). Dog agility is intense and exciting at the Seattle Kennel Club show, where dogs and handlers perform on an indoor, carpeted course just a few feet away from of hundreds of spectators.
We’re lucky in the Northwest to have some of the best agility competitors in the country. Expect to see some of the top agility competitors at the Seattle Kennel Club trial. If you’ve watched some of the national dog agility competitions on TV, you’ll recognize some of the dogs and handlers.
Seattle Kennel Club will host an Agility Trial at Argus Ranch in Auburn, on May 21-23. Follow this link to view the premium list. The trial secretary for this event is R2Agility.
